Out With The Old … In With The New

High school football in the Hudson Valley is slowly coming to an end as teams finish up their sectional and regional games before heading to Syracuse to play for the state titles. Last night in Kingston, Chester running back Saxon Smith broke the Section 9 single-season rushing record with 139 yards on 26 carries and four touchdowns. Smith, a senior, now has 2,894 yards and 44 touchdowns this year. Heading to Syracuse to play for the Class D State Title, Smith has the chance to reach the 3,000 yard plateau. Not a bad way to finish your senior year.

Here are a few images of Saxon Smith’s Record setting game.
