Martinez Retains WBC Diamond Belt

Darren Barker took on WBC Diamond belt holder Sergio Martinez at Atlantic City’s famous Boardwalk Hall On October 1st. Martinez started slow but in the later rounds, he started landing left and right hooks at will. By the 11th round, Martinez would put it all together and sent Barker to the mat with a right hand to the head that would end the bout as Barker was unable to make the ten count.
