The Coleman girls basketball team defeated Red Hook to claim the MHAL basketball title at Ulster County Community College. Coleman won 57-45.

Marlboro Wins First MHAL Title In School History

Marlboro High School boys basketball team won its first Mid-Hudson Athletic League title with a 58-43 victory in the championship game over Pine Plains. Congratulations to the Marlbor Dukes Boys Basketball team.

New Paltz Women Defeat Oswego on Senior Day

New Paltz won a 73-62 decision defeating State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) foe SUNY Oswego (11-11, 6-9 SUNYAC) Saturday afternoon at the Hawk Center during New Paltz’s Senior Day.

Boxing Back At The Times Union Center

After a 15 year layoff, professional boxing is returning to The Times Union Center on February 4th. Heavyweight Joe Hanks (18-0-0 12KOs) will defend his IBA belt against Rafael Pedro (21-9-1 15KOs). Also on the card is the return of David Telesco and local favorite Kevin Rooney Jr. The card is presented by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing and tickets are priced at $30, $40, $50, $75 and go on sale this Saturday.

Delvin Rodriguez Victory Party

The City of Danbury welcomed home its newest champion, Delvin Rodriguez tonight at Danbury Billiards. 200 plus fans packed into Danbury Billards as Mayor Mark Boughton welcomed Delvin home from his unanimous decision victory over Pawel Wolak on the undercard of Cotto – Margarito at Madison Square Garden on December 3rd. Mayor Boughton officially declared December 22, 2011 as Delvin Rodriguez Day in Danbury Ct. State Senator Michael McLachlan was also on hand to present Rodriguez with an award from the Connecticut State Senate as well. Earlier this week, Sports Illustrated announced that the first epic fight between Rodriguez and Wolak was their choice for fight of the year.

Had the chance to setup a remote floor camera for the SUNY New Paltz Womens Basketball game. Camera was setup on the baseline about 6 feet back and triggered with a pocket wizard. Love using this plate. Check out fplate.net for more info on it.
